Na vele voorbereidingen samen met de Spaanse leerkrachten was het eindelijk zo ver.
Vandaag zijn Rikko en Rikki jarig, ze worden 5 jaar en daar hoort natuurlijk een groot feest bij.
De kleuters hadden eerder deze week 2 liedjes geleerd en dit niet in het Nederlands maar in het Spaans!
After many preparations together with the Spanish teachers it was time to celebrate.
Today we celebrate the 5th birthday of Rikko en Rikki, and of course a big party is requested!
Earlier during the week, the kids learned a song in Spanish!
Bij het binnenkomen in de klas mochten Rikko en Rikki elk in hun klas op de verjaardagsstoel zitten en kregen ze een kroon.
De kleuters gaven de lieve konijntjes al een groot applaus maar er was nog werk aan de winkel om het feest voor te bereiden.
When school started and everybody arrived in the classrooms Rikko and Rikki sat down on the special birthday chairs. And of course a birthday crown was required.
The kids gave the 2 bunnies a big applause, but work had to be done to give them a big party.
De kleuters gingen naar de eetzaal om samen met alle juffen (ook de Spaanse leerkrachten) en de mama's, tante's, omi's,... de hapjes verder voor te bereiden.
In groepjes gaat iedereen aan de slag en in een mum van tijd waren er allerlei lekkere hapjes en zelfs een lekkere sangria (zonder alcohol 😃).
Together with the teachers, also the Spanish ones they went to the canteen to prepare all the snacks for the party. The kids worked in groups guided by moms or teachers and within a small amount of time we prepared a lot of nice snacks and a nice sangria ( without alcohol :) ).
Na de speeltijd was het tijd voor het feest.
Iedereen verzamelde in de speelzaal bij de kleuters waar alle hapjes en drankjes stonden maar ook een verjaardagsstoel en 2 taarten en niet te vergeten onze feestkonijntjes Rikko en Rikki.
Eerst een speech van onze directie en daarna zongen de kleuters een verjaardagsliedje voor de lieve konijntjes en dit in het Spaans!
Ze kregen beide een cadeautje van de Spaanse leerkrachten, mochten kaarsjes uitblazen en kregen een mooi souvenir vanuit Spanje ( een zelfgemaakte koffer met een overzicht wat Rikko gedaan had in Spanje).
Om af te sluiten deden de kleuters het dansje ' hoofd schouders knie en teen' in het Spaans!
Super trots sloten we af met lekkere hapjes en een drankje.

En toch zeker niet onbelangrijk, een grote dankjewel aan iedereen die ons geholpen heeft en erbij was vandaag!
After the kids played outside it was time to party!
Everybody gathered in the room where all the snacks and drinks were standing on the nicely decorated tables. But of course we set up the birthday chairs, the birthday cakes and not to forget the 2 birthday bunnies. The party started with a speech from our principal and after that the kids sang a birthday song not in Flemish but in Spanish! Both bunnies got a present from the Spanish teachers, the bunnies could blow out their candles on the cake and they got a nice souvenir from the teachers. ( A self made suitcase with a summary of the activities Rikko did during his stay in Spain and a nice presentation from the city he stayed in).
At the end of the party the kids sang another song in Spanish, ' head shoulders knies and toes '.
As proud as we could be it was time for the snacks and drinks!
