Aandacht voor diversiteit ~ Attention for diversity

Er lopen 750 leerlingen school (250 kleuters, 500 lagere schoolkinderen) verdeeld over 10 kleuterklassen en 21 klassen in het lager. De school telt 45 teamleden.

There are 750 students at school (250 in kindergarten and 500 in primary school) divided over 10classes in kindergarten and 21classes in primary school. The school has 45 team members.

Anders dan in België bestaat het team niet enkel uit leerkrachten. Ook een ondersteunend team is aanwezig op de school (zie schema).

Different than in Belgium is that the team are not only teachers, there is also a supporting team at school. ( check the diagram)

In het 5e leerjaar een leerling op niveau taal van 3e leerjaar.

In 5th grade a student is learning language subjects on the level of the 3th grade.

De leerling werkt in de klas met dezelfde zinnen, mits aangepaste opdracht.

The student gets the same sentences but an adjusted version.

Er is een grote openheid onder de andere leerlingen wat aanpassingen betreft. Voor ons een voorbeeld van sociale inclusie.

There is a big open mind along the students about adjustments, this is a great example from social inclusion.

Open dag – Open week De Spaanse collega’s haalden inspiratie uit onze ‘Open schooldag’. Tijdens ons bezoek in van 24 tot 27 april organiseerden ze een ‘Inclusion week’, waaraan ouders en ook wij als Vlaamse collega’s konden deelnemen. We werkten samen rond drie kleuterverhalen met als thema ‘Inclusie’: "El cazo de Lorenzo" (Lorenzo's pan), "Por cuatro esquinitas de nada" (Vier kleine hoekjes van niets) en "Orejas de mariposa" (Vlinderoren). INCLUSIVE WEEK. OPEN DAY. - Een week over inclusie, een kijkdag op school. We inspired in your idea of having an “Open Day”. But we decided to have it around inclusion. And had the parents participating in it. Wij hebben ons geinspireerd op het idee van jullie ‘ kijk dagen ‘ . Maar wij hebben besloten om de focus te leggen op inclusie.
